The Situation Before

Baseline Metrics

Before Interact & Co’s involvement, here’s where the numbers stood:

Logistical Challenges
In 2025, logistical challenges forced organisers to postpone it entirely, creating a two-year gap in an event with a loyal and passionate following
Cyclone Narelle
Forced a further one-month rescheduling, and the event was reintroduced under a new name: the Stirling Festival of Motoring
Digital presence
Minimal paid advertising history and no structured marketing framework

The Challenge

THE PROBLEMS WE

WERE BROUGHT IN TO SOLVE

While some challenges were outside our control, such as the event postponement and weather-related disruptions, the lack of a structured marketing strategy from previous years presented a significant opportunity for improvement.

Challenge 01

Rebuilding Brand Recognition

Reintroduced as the Stirling Festival of Motoring, the beloved Perth Classic Car Show needed clear messaging to maintain trust and help audiences recognise it as the same event under a refreshed identity.

Challenge 02

Building a Comprehensive Marketing Strategy

With no prior digital or traditional advertising, audiences, creative assets, or performance data to build on, a complete marketing strategy had to be created from scratch within a limited timeframe.

Challenge 03

Re-engaging a Lapsed Audience

After a two-year hiatus, reactivating past attendees was crucial. The event’s appeal goes beyond cars—rooted in culture, nostalgia, and community—making emotional reconnection key to reigniting interest and ticket sales.

04
The Solution

THE APPROACH THAT

DELIVERED RESULTS

Interact & Co developed a multi-channel marketing strategy combining digital and traditional advertising to reach a broad audience while re-engaging those already familiar with the event. Every element was designed to bring the community together and reinforce the event’s identity as a celebration of cars, culture, and connection.

Through strong branding, strategic remarketing, and highly targeted advertising, the campaign successfully boosted awareness, engagement, and online ticket sales, delivering a 221% increase in online ticket sales compared to the previous event.

01

Strategy & Positioning

We identified key audience segments, refined the event’s value proposition, and highlighted what sets it apart from other automotive events. The strategy leaned heavily on nostalgia, tapping into Western Australians’ emotional connection to the show and its vehicles. This nostalgic angle shaped tailored messaging and content. The result was creative that resonated strongly with the community.

02

Paid Media Launch

We launched highly targeted Google Search and Meta campaigns focused on automotive enthusiasts and audiences who had previously engaged with the event. Meta was used to drive broad awareness and engagement across multiple audience segments, while Google Search captured high-intent users actively looking for events. Strategic remarketing ensured the event stayed front of mind throughout the consideration period.

03

Traditional Marketing - Radio Advertising

To extend reach beyond digital audiences, we ran a two-week radio campaign timed to reach commuters during peak listening hours. This traditional touchpoint broadened the campaign’s demographic reach and reinforced the messaging people were seeing online creating consistent, multi-channel exposure in the lead-up to the event
